Subjects covered include image preview and comparison, thumbnails and organizing into folders; resizing, cropping and printing, including contact sheets; colour, brightness and sharpness correction; red-eye removal; adding titles and frames; sending images by email; creating self-contained slideshows with sound; clone and healing for image object removal and correction, and image object selection for unique editing.
Family History and Genealogy
If you have wanted to start recording your family history, the Family History class is an introductory session that will go over the basics of what can or needs to be done. No prerequisite skills are required – just a curiosity about your forebears. If you find it interesting, then you can subsequently join the more in depth classes on genealogy. You may wish to bring any information you have about your family for a practical demonstration.

Shared content can be made publicly accessible, or it can be shared only among a select group of friends or family, or with a single person. This class will show you how to find and download electronic books and electronic audio books to read or listen to on your devices. This will include guidance on how to access free electronic books and audio books through the Rotorua Public Library.

A scanner works by passing a bright light and an image sensor over a document or photo placed face down on its glass (similar to a photocopier). In this course, you will learn how to use your scanner as a copier, and how to scan photos to add to your digital photo collection, and how to scan documents and photos to email to other people.
